Hello Friends,
Good Evening or should i say Good Morning its 2.51am of the intervening night of the 20th and 21st August, 2011.
I have just reached home and i am dead tired but i wanted to stick to my commitment of updating the 20 Lakh Speakasians.
What The F%$k if our beloved COO Tarak sahib can sleep on the floor in a pest infested room without a fan i bloody well stay up a little more and complete my duty as a true speakasia.
So here it goes friends yet another eventful day in the life of the ever resilient family of Speakasians comes to an end. So i say
Good Morning Speakasians.
The day started with the bad news that the wife of our President Mr. Melwyn Crasto had taken sick on the night of 19th and Mr. Crasto was unable to accompany me to the High Court to sign the petition (PIL) which was to be filed today.
Our Vice President Mr. Girish Vithalkar and Joint Secretary Ms. Nimi Khambhoj were assigned the responsibility to co ordinate the gathering of Speakasians at the Quila court where we were expecting the EOW to bring Mrs. Renu Sharma wife of our CEO Mr. Manoj Kumar for seeking her custody.
Our dedicated panelists Senpai Mr. Abhijat Patel and Kohei Mr. Devesh Shah helped me with carrying the petition from the High court to Mr. Melwyn Crasto house at Mahim and back to the High Court for filing. While the petition was being ferried around there were tense moments at the Quila Court on three counts.
  1. We were all (around 70 to 80 panelists who had gathered there along with our leader Mr. Suresh Padhi) spending tense moments awaiting the arrival of the EOW team with Mrs. Renu Sharma, which culminated in a nail biting finale when we got news that the EOW had finally decided not to formally arrest Mrs. Sharma.
We all heaved a sigh of relief and there was a silent moment of rejoice and i experienced why they say
"Silence can be deafening"
  1. For me the tension did not end, I was silently coordinating the news from Hyderabad.
To remind all of you the PIL matter at Hyderabad was also posted today, there was a cause of concern, that the stay in the matter could have been vacated and the tension was doubled or even tripled as we realized that a team from Hyderabad led by an officer of the rank of ACP was in Mumbai, this gave us the jitters, what were they doing here? Were they confident that the STAY in the matter will surely be vacated? Did they have inside information?   Were they here to seek custody of our Team?
Guys those moments were nerve wrecking; i could hear my heart pound.
In this background we were trying to ensure that Mr. Tarak along with all the brave officials were released before 2.00 pm as the case in Hyderabad was slated at 2.15 pm.
We were running against time, minutes were unusually fast. I remembered the wise words of my father "time waits for none"
I had a silent prayer in my heart; i prayed that my dad was wrong,
I wanted the time to stand still; I wanted time to be on the side of SAOL. They Say prayers can make Miracles happen, the court in Hyderabad adjourned the matter to Tuesday.
SAOL had defeated time it had overcome yet another hurdle of the day. I had a silent smile on my face.

  1. The tension at Quila court ended with the families of all the accused, our heroes, leaving the Quila Court armed with the release orders for their release from the Arthur Road Jail.
I personally went up to meet the families of  Mr. Malhotra, Mr. Jain, Mr. Sarkar and of course Mr. Bajpai and on behalf of the entire speakasian panelist family showed my gratitude and humbly bowed to them in gratitude for the pains and trouble their husbands/fathers, uncles and sons had bared for the welfare of all the panelists.

  1. I along with a few panelists left for the Mumbai High Court to file the Associations PIL. The PIL was filed/registered around 4.30pm.

Once again there was a silent, anxious joy amongst the group at the High Court.
No words of encouragement or praise just a simple smile said it all.

  1. “Horror, they say has a knack to strike at the most joyous moments”.
This was once again proved right.
We have all experienced it on 11th May, 2011 on the culmination of Gen X.
The motley crowd at the High court relived it today.
We got News that all is not well with the release of our beloved and inspirational leader and COO Mr. Tarak Bajpai and Co.

  1. Did we rush?  I drove like a man obsessed. We reached Arthur Road Jail in time but alas too late.
“Time had beaten us this time”.
Mr. Bajpai was arrested by the EOW, Bhayander under the FIR of Rs. 1,00,000/- filed by some panelist in Mira road.

  1. In our pursuit of Mr. Bajpai we were shunted between three police stations before we located our family at the Kanakhia, Police station in Mira Road.

  1. The sorry state of powerful corporate lobbying, nefarious political interference, combined with greedy vested business animosity was shamelessly evident.
While we the victimized panelist fraternity, humbly stood outside the said police station, with our heads bowed down, like your true docile Indian common man.
Our Leaders the architects of this the most modern and proud to say, much before its time, Business module were being humiliated and “questioned” inside.

  1. Once again we waited in hope for the unthinkable to happen, we were hoping for justice, who can stop fools from dreaming. Every non corrupt straight entity in today “mera bharat maan” is a fool.

He hopes to be spared by the vultures, while he lies, bleeding to death, in the dry arid desert of corruption.

  1. We will once again unite together and come out in support of our beloved Speakasia, and our beloved Shri Tarak Bajpai to show our solidarity to him and indeed to the family of 20 lakh Speakasians.

  1. We are assembling tomorrow, oops today morning at 11.00 am (I hope I wake up) outside court Room Number 6, Thane District Court. Near Collectarate, Thane west

Proud to be a speakasian

Jai Speakasian
